Haven't read it before, but looked at some of the reviews, sounds interesting - would love to read it. Jo told me that Nina is settling in well - glad to hear it.
Passed around? like you mean handled by other people??? Maybe he can just come along to the meetings. Nina is a delight - she is sitting beside me now waiting for tummy rub. Let's decide on that book then? I know it's out on penguin classics. HOP
Yep - could not find it in Berkoleouw but found it in Shearers in the biography section ( well thats where the helpful lady found it) So I am all set to go - $10 so thats good too Jo
Sorry I missed the inaugural meeting. That book sounds like a great idea. There was a great tv adaptation last year. I have read it but many years ago. Oh, and who is Nina? kitten? I think we need a photo posted! Susie
Hi everyone, Any volunteers to choose the next book - so can be prepared for our first real meeting on the 27th. We have 3 new recruits - Natalie, Eleanor and Helen, hopefully they have been able to find the book and are busy reading! a photo of Nina would be great!

Has anyone already read My Family and Other Animals by Durrell? Am thinking of making this the first book. Let me know any objections?
